High precision:
The accuracy of the differential pressure V-cone flowmeter is ± 0.5% of the measured value, and the trade measurement level is ± 0.3% (the system accuracy should refer to the accuracy of the application strip and secondary instruments).
Good repeatability:
The repeatability of the differential pressure V-cone flowmeter is very good, at ± 0.1%.
Range width ratio:
The range of the differential pressure V-cone flowmeter is much larger than other types of differential pressure flowmeters, usually 10:1. If necessary, it can also be increased. When the Reynolds number is higher than 8000, the output signal is linear. If it is lower than 8000, it can also be measured, but the output signal needs to be corrected according to the curve.
Low requirements for straight pipe section of differential pressure V-cone flowmeter:
The Bernoulli equation requires the measured fluid to be an ideal fluid, which is fundamentally impossible in practical applications. Many situations can cause uneven fluid distribution, such as bends, valves, reducers, expanders, pumps, tees, etc. For other instruments, this is a difficult problem to solve. The V-cone flowmeter can evenly distribute fluid in extremely harsh conditions, such as when there is a single or double bend pipe adjacent to the upstream of the instrument. After being "rectified" by the cone, the fluid distribution is relatively uniform to ensure high measurement accuracy of the instrument under harsh conditions. Due to the uniform fluid distribution curve of the DV type flowmeter, compared with other types of differential pressure flowmeters, the requirements for the upstream and downstream straight pipe sections are smaller. It is recommended to leave a 0-3D straight pipe section upstream and a 0-1D straight pipe section downstream during installation. When the user's pipeline size is large, the pipeline price is high, or the straight pipe section is insufficient, DV cone flowmeter will be the choice. In the past decade, tests have been conducted on the upstream of DV type flow meters with a single bend pipe at 90 ℃ or two double bends pipes that are not in the same plane. The test results show that V-cone flow meters can be equipped with a bend pipe or double bends that are not in the same plane immediately adjacent to it without affecting the measurement accuracy
